Fennel with Orange and Strawberries Salad - The perfect picnic takeaway

I was on the hunt for the perfect fennel bulbs for many summers, however, could not grab my hands on it. My mercury levels would rise when I would see Giada De Laurentis episode reruns. She uses a lot of fennel in her dishes (not that I like her much, but yes, I would be honest in admitting that most of her dishes do look tempting to give a try). Anyways, today was my fennel day at our Local farmers market on Route 9. It is one of the best Farmers Market I have been here in the US. Everything fresh and economically priced. The best part being I get a array of just about every produce of the season. Anyways, enough advertisement of our local market, now back to what I actually wanted to blog about. Chicken Parmesan - can never wrong

While in India, eating chicken at home on Sundays would mean Chicken Curry. My mother and the rest of the extended family on both sides (meaning Maternal and Paternal), would make blind folded Chicken curries on Sundays. It was such a routine for years and years, that the new generation has reached its saturation point. I have a terrible nausea of chicken curries now in my 30s. (My mother still makes chicken curry on sundays, with the same masala, and refuses to abandon it at ay cost).
