Puff Pattice

Anytime passing through Monginis in India, or any bakery that sells Puff Pattice, I had to grab a couple. Their crispy texture, just wakes up any dead taste buds.

They are just too easy to make here in the US. Puff Pastries are available in any super market these days. I always have them stocked up in my freezer. Their stuffing can be anything. I usually use the same ones as for Samosas. Once I tried using homemade jam and some cheese. Use anything to stuff or just plain with some Cinnamon Sugar, they are superb. Within a jiffy, these delicious snacks are ready for afternoon tea snacks, or even an accompaniment for brunch.

P.S. Once again, I did not really do much to make them picturesque for this blog. I click photos as is, no presentation skills at test here.

While in India, eating chicken at home on Sundays would mean Chicken Curry. My mother and the rest of the extended family on both sides (meaning Maternal and Paternal), would make blind folded Chicken curries on Sundays. Summer 2011 begins - Watermelon Salad

 I seriously do not understand the underestimation of fruits. Why are they so proudly eaten only for desserts. Why not for appetizers or in a side dish? When a tomato claims its place in all soups and gravies, what about other fruits. I am putting myself on a mission to make it possible for everyone to use fruits as a part of our everyday lives, as in the main dinner plate. Watermelon being watery, is a fruit, I believe all Chefs (do Chefs really cook? maybe I rephrase it to all 'Cooks'!) are scarred of because of its watery properties and almost negligible flavour. However, the truth is that when watermelon is paired with spices and herbs, it enhances the natural tastes of the melon. The Begining

It all begins today April 06th 2011, after putting down my little toddler for a late afternoon nap, that I have posted my first ad on an online website. Its all about offering food and satisfying the individual palate. I believe its high time I get into the market and put myself down for a foody test. Currently I am doing it from my very own homely kitchen and offering everyday individual and family meals to all those tired of eating out of their own cook houses. I call out to those lazy, busy and tired moms to order meals from my food gallery.
